Little Cucumber Daycare follows a Reggio Emilia Approach of centring the interests of the child to explore and engage in learning through play.
With an emphasis on smaller room sizes, educators observe each child and encourage curiosity, collaboration and individual expression as they interact with other children.
We offer homecooked breakfasts, lunches and afternoon snacks based on the Canada Food Guide recommendations.
Your child will be exposed to a variety of nutritional foods to expand their familiarity and comfort with different tastes and textures.
Our Red Seal chef is a graduate of NAIT's prestigious culinary arts program.
With a dedicated outdoor play area, children will have opportunities everyday (weather permitting) to engage in physical activities.
Our educators also plan excursions in the community to encourage children to interact with nature and to experience the outdoors.
All staff are early childhood education certified and trained in basic first aid and CPR. We follow the Government of Alberta's mandated screening protocols for hiring educators.
We take pride in keeping smaller room sizes to ensure more individualized attention for each child in our programs. All rooms, washrooms and the kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of each day, including toys and other shared surfaces.
